In 1952, she already received the World Theater Award for playing the role of Ann Reeves in the production of The Chase, and later starred in such Broadway hits as Picnic (1953) and Bus Stop (1955). Ironically, a year later, Kim Stanley again played the role of Misha, but now in the film adaptation of the same name, directed by Lee Strasberg . Her colleagues in the picture were Geraldine Page , Sandy Dennis and Shelley Winters , no less well-known graduates of the Actor's Studio.
