Biography

Nicholas was born in the capital of Argentina Buenos Aires and, accordingly, began his career in a team from this city - Argentinos Juniors. Despite the fact that Navarro has been in the main team since 2004, he made his debut in the Argentinean championship only in 2006, but quickly gained a foothold in the base, holding almost all matches after the debut on the field. As a result, a confident game attracted the views of European top championship clubs to the young goalkeeper.

As a result, in January 2008, he signed a contract with the Italian Napoli. The transfer amounted to 4.5 million euros , which is the record amount of goalkeeper transfer for Argentinos Juniors. The option of moving to Napoli was convenient for Navarro, if only because two of his compatriots had already played for this club: Ezekiel Lavessi and Roberto Carlos Sosa [1] . However, at first, Nicholas’s overseas career was not very successful: the competition at the gates was quite high, for some time Navarro even declared that he wanted to return to his homeland [2] , but with the beginning of the 2008/09 season, Nicholas practically did not give way to the basis. As a result, he meets the new season also in a club shirt from Naples .

In mid- 2009, it was leased to River Plate , for which, as of October 4, had already played 2 matches in 2009/10 Aperture.

On July 24, 2010, the player terminated the contract with Napoli and returned to the ranks of Argentinos Juniors [3] [4] .

In 2015, he was the main goalkeeper of Gimnasia from La Plata . Since 2016, he has been a player of San Lorenzo. He made his debut for the team in the Libertadores Cup match against LDU Quito on April 19. The meeting ended with the score 1: 1 [5] . After that, Navarro never appeared on the field as part of the “red-blue”, becoming the reserve goalkeeper.

Navarro was not invited to the main national team of Argentina , but he has experience playing for the youth team, in which he won two of the largest international tournaments (2005 World Cup and 2008 Olympic Games), although he did not go on their main stages on the field, being an understudy Oscar Ustari and Sergio Romero .
