Wings is the tenth studio album of the Sverdlovsk rock band Nautilus Pompilius . It was recorded in the spring and summer of 1995 in St. Petersburg and published in January 1996. Roll: Europa plus St. Petersburg. Video clips were shot for the songs “Wings” and “Who Else”.

Creation History
The story with Wings is very strange. In fact, there are few new songs. Because new songs did not get there - for one reason or another. The wings consisted mainly of poetic material written simultaneously with the Titanic . Music for him in many cases was written much later. There were one or two new songs there, and I’ve been counted out ... “Golden Spot”, in my opinion, was generally written simultaneously with “Diamond Roads” ...

Even before the release of Wings , a scandal erupted in the media business due to the fact that for a month Europe Plus received exclusive rights to broadcast new Nautilus material. Then it caused a stormy reaction from other radio stations, in particular, Radio Maximum decided to boycott the album and the group.
Even if applications for new Nautilus songs are received from the listeners, it is obvious that they will not be performed until. I believe that music belongs to everyone ... And I hope that our listeners will treat this step with understanding. I am fully aware that this is a very radical measure. But with its help, I hope to show the musicians that this method of promoting the album is uncivilized.

In Culture
In 1997, the song “Wings” was included in the soundtrack for Alexei Balabanov ’s film “ Brother ”. The film shows a video clip for this song. Search for the main character of the disc with this album is a kind of parallel plot of the film.
