Kirill Feliksovich Medvedev (born June 19, 1975 , Moscow ) is a Russian poet , translator , publisher, founder of the Free Marxist Publishing House , political activist, vocalist and guitarist of the Arkady Kots band [1] .

Biography
Kirill Feliksovich Medvedev was born on June 19, 1975 in Moscow [2] .
In 1992-1995 studied at the history department of Moscow State University [3] .
In 2000 he graduated from the A. Gorky Literary Institute . He published articles and reviews in the Russian Journal , Nezavisimaya Gazeta , the literary life of Moscow , etc. He published a number of translations of contemporary English-language literature (among them are two books by Charles Bukowski : the novel Women and the collection of poems Vomiting Lady) .
In 2002, Medvedev's poems were included in the Short List of the Andrei Bely Prize (nomination "Poetry").
Moving away from poetry, Medvedev concentrated his efforts on the work of the Free Marxist Publishing House that he created. Collaborates with the platform “ What to do? ", Is a member of the Advisory Board of the Translit almanac.
In 2004, he wrote several songs based on poems by Alexander Brener from Oranges for Palestine.
Since 2010, he has been performing revolutionary songs as a soloist and guitarist of the Arkady Kots band (Nikolai Oleinikov, Anna Petrovich, Oleg Zhuravlev, Mikhail Griboedov), named after the Marxist of the beginning of the 20th century, translator of the International into Russian .
He was awarded the second prize of the Alternative Prize “Russian Activist Art” in the nomination “Shares realized in the urban space” (the award ceremony was held as part of the MediaUdar Assembly at the Zverev Center for Contemporary Art on December 4, 2012).
In 2014, he won the Andrei Bely Prize for the book “Campaign to the City Hall” (nomination “Poetry”) [4] .
In 2017, he was named by the critic Lev Oborin the most famous of contemporary Russian poets abroad [5] .

He joined the Forward Socialist Movement , then, together with other Forward activists, became a member of the Russian Socialist Movement .
A participant in the campaign to defend the Central House of Artists (2009), in support of the Khimki hostages, in defense of the Khimki forest (2010-2011).
In February 2013, he recorded a video message in support of the LGBT community for the project “Against Homophobia” [6] .
Family
The son of a journalist Felix Medvedev . The great-grandson of Zoltan Partos ( Hungarian. Pártos Zoltán ) is a Hungarian physician, translator of the works of Sigmund Freud into Hungarian [7] , the author of a book of socialist poems [8] published in 1916, then an activist of the Comintern , which in 1922 with children moved to Moscow, where he later worked as a doctor [9] . Great-great-grandson of the Hungarian writer and journalist Sandor Brody.
