Route P402 ( Tyumen - Ishim - Omsk ) is a federal highway [1] . Part of the historical Siberian tract [2] . It passes through Tyumen , Yalutorovsk , Zavodoukovsk , Ishim , Abat , Tyukalinsk , Omsk . Today it is the only highway that runs completely through the territory of the Russian Federation, which connects the European part of Russia through the Urals with Siberia and the Far East. Ural Federal District and Siberian Federal District.

The Tyumen — Ishim section is the last part of the European transport corridor E 22 ( Holyhead , Great Britain - Ishim).
The Ishim-Omsk section is the last part of the European transport corridor E 30 ( Cork , Ireland - Omsk). At the same time, this is a section of the P254 Irtysh highway (formerly M51 ) ( Chelyabinsk - Novosibirsk ) of the Baikal highway (Chelyabinsk - Chita ).
In Tyumen it connects with the federal highways P351 ( Yekaterinburg - Tyumen) and P404 (Tyumen - Tobolsk - Khanty-Mansiysk ). In Ishim it is connected to the federal highway P403 (Ishim - the border with Kazakhstan ).
According to the participant of the Frozen Spiderman rally, Sergey Bagaev, the Ishim-Abatskoye section is the most swearing section of the road in Russia [3] .
Until the beginning of the 2000s, the length of the route was 666 km and the route itself was called 1p402.
In 2015, overhaul of the broken sections of the route was carried out. [4] [5] As of 2017, the road is in relatively good condition. [6]
