Nikolai Fedorovich Dudnikov ( May 12, 1948 - July 18, 2008 ) - a well-known writer, local historian, journalist, and his own correspondent for the Rossiyskaya Gazeta in the Far North of Russia .

Biography
Born in the village of Azov, Shuryshkarsky district of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug , his childhood passed in the village of Gorki . He graduated from Kemerovo State University . He worked in the newspapers Krasny Sever , Sovetskoye Zapolyarye , Tyumen Pravda , and published in the journals Almanac, Yamal Meridian , Ural, and Ural Pathfinder .
The fame was brought to the writer by the books “Rebel Obdorsk ”, “My Home is the North”, “Bear Fun” and “The Mosquito Concentration Camp”. Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation (1995). [1] He is a laureate of the International Creative Award presented in Bonn (Germany) for the script for the documentary about the Volga Germans exiled to Yamal during the Great Patriotic War .
