Biography
Born into a noble family. In 1913 , he retired with the rank of colonel. However, then during the First World War he commanded the 22nd militia light battery. Chairman of the Moscow Provincial Zemstvo Council (January 1912-1914). [one]
During the February Revolution on March 1 (14), 1917, he led the Moscow army garrison [2] in an obvious order, and the next day he appealed to the population of Moscow: “The job is done. The coup is complete. Everyone’s duty is to return to their work. ” March 4 (17) took on Red Square a parade of revolutionary troops. Then he was appointed Guchkov commander of the troops of the Moscow military district .
| Some of the newly appointed superiors are incredibly odd and cause a lot of concern. Gruzinov is especially different in Moscow, reaching the point where he forms new units (even one “of his own name”) on his own initiative and sends them to the front, bringing the whole General Staff Building and the General Staff Directorate to indescribable anguish. In April 1917, he resigned due to disagreements with the Council of Soldiers' Deputies [4] .
