Album Information
“Du soleil au cœur” is a collection of songs from Celine Dion’s two previous Canadian albums, “ Tellement j'ai d'amour ... ” and “ Les chemins de ma maison ”, [1] released for the French market. The album was released due to the success of “D'amour ou d'amitié” in France (number 10 on the singles chart). "Mon ami m'a quittée" became the next single.
“Du soleil au cœur” contains a new version of “Ne me plaignez pas” and one previously unreleased track “À quatre pas d'ici” - a French-language adaptation of Bucks Fizz 's No. 1 hit hit “The Land of Make Believe”. The song was written by Andy Hill and Peter Sinfield . Both of them worked with Celine Dion again in 1993 (Think Twice) and 1996 (Call the Man). À quatre pas d'ici was also released in Canada on the Christmas album Chants et contes de Noël , released in November 1983 .
50,000 copies of the album were sold. [2]
In 2002 , 19 years later, Du soleil au cœur was re-released in France on a CD with five bonus tracks. May 16, 2008 the album was also released in Switzerland .
