South Azadegan

South Azadegan is a large Iranian oil field , isolated from the Azadegan field in 2006 . Initial oil reserves are 1 billion tons.

The operator of the field is the Chinese oil company CNPC (70%). Other partners are Iranian NIOC (20%) and Japanese INPEX (10%). The projected level of oil production should be 3-4 million tons per year.
