Lenin Avenue is located in the Leninsky district of Nizhny Tagil , in the city center. The main street of the city. It leads from Ostrovsky Street ( Museum of Local Lore [1] ) to Sadovaya Street (Era home). On the street are the Gornozavodskoy Ural Museum-Reserve , the Drama Theater , the Nizhny Tagil Puppet Theater , the Contemporary Theater and the city’s administrative institutions, as well as many shops and banks. It was founded in 1928 by the merger of two streets - Aleksandrovskaya (Lenin St. from 1928; from the Museum of Local Lore to the Theater Square ) and Saldinskaya (from Theater Square to the Era).

The avenue was built in 1948 - 1958 according to the designs of the Leningrad architects J. Svirsky, G. Tim and N. Kogan [2] . This complex of residential buildings on Lenin Avenue is recognized as an architectural monument [3] . In addition, a number of historical objects have been preserved on the avenue (Providence store, consumer society house, merchant houses - only 15 objects), which are also recognized as historical and architectural monuments [4] .

The avenue is the main street of the city. On the avenue is Theater Square - the main square of the city, the main venue for city events and celebrations.
At the intersection of Lenin Avenue and Ostrovsky Street, a monument to Lenin was erected in Nizhny Tagil , one of the first monuments to the leader in the Urals and the USSR [5] .
At the intersection with Parkhomenko Street, there is a monument to the Cherepanov Efim Alekseevich and Miron Efimovich, the designers of the first steam locomotive in Russia . The monument was erected in 1956 and is a historical monument of federal significance [4] [6] .
A large number of public transport routes pass along the avenue: bus , tram , taxi.
