Description
Male. Side view
One of the largest beetles in the world. The body length of males is up to 120 mm, females up to 70 mm. The head is small, already pronotum, directed forward. The color is black, the body is densely covered with yellow-brown hairs. From above, the head carries a horn developed by a male. Pronotum does not exceed width. Pronotum convex. The weight of the beetle is up to 35 g. It is mainly nocturnal.
