Vladimir Nikolayevich Markin (born May 8, 1959 , Bolshevo , Moscow Region ) is a Soviet and Russian pop singer, film actor, entrepreneur, composer and songwriter, TV presenter.

Biography
Born May 8, 1959 in Bolshevo, Moscow Region .
In 1976 he graduated from school in Pushkino , where he studied music in the school ensemble. He studied at the Electromechanical Faculty of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute , where he was engaged in amateur performances .
He worked as a packer, bricklayer, seamstress, minder, piano tuner. He acted in films, one of the roles is a saxophonist in the film “ The Most Charming and Attractive ” by Herald Bezhanov .
Since 1980, Vladimir worked for six years as a cultorg in the sports and recreation camp at MPEI Alushta [1] . While working in the camp, he receives an offer to become a member of the music group "Magic Twilight", and later - the program " Jolly Fellows ". He took part in the filming of the program " Morning Mail " with the song " I am ready to kiss the sand ." Actively participates in the life of the camp MPEI "Alushta".
In 1983, after graduating from the institute, Vladimir joined the House of Culture of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute. The trio "Difficult childhood" is organized there. The group consisted of Andrey Knyshev , Sergey Shustitsky and Markin himself. Then engaged in a solo career.
The most famous songs performed by the singer are “ Lilac fog ” [1] , “The cutest in the yard”, “Bells”, “I am ready to kiss the sand” [2] , “White bird cherry”, “Tsarevna Nesmeyana” [3] [4 ] ] .
Vladimir Markin organized the production company "Difficult childhood". It is engaged in the production and sale of tea and coffee under the brand name Markin Tea [5] [6] [7] . He is also the owner of the Lilac Fog restaurant, which featured the eponymous program.
In 1995, he was a member of the jury of the KVN festival “ Voting KiViN ”.
In 1995-2000 he was the host of the Lilac Fog program on the ORT television channel (1995-1997), then on the RTR channel (1998-2000). At the same time he was the chief music editor of the RTR channel. From 2000 to 2001, he was co-host of Ksenia Alferova in the TV program “TV-Bingo Show” (RTR) [8] [9] .
From 1996 to 2016 he was the director of the House of Culture MPEI [10] .
Periodically hosts the festival “ Disco of the 80s ”, participates in retro-festivals, where it performs with its old songs [10] .
He is the brother-in-law of the singer Sergei Minaev, so his wife and wife Vladimir Markin are sisters.
Political Activities
Since 2012 [11] he is a deputy of the municipal Assembly of the Vykhino-Zhulebino district in Moscow from the Communist Party [12] , although he himself is not a member of the party.
In September 2016, he was nominated by the political party Patriots of Russia [13] [14] at the elections to the State Duma in the 199 district in Moscow (took 6th place).
Since May 2018 - Member of the Council on Culture at the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation [15] .
