The 40th Bulgarian National Assembly exercised legislative power in Bulgaria from July 11, 2005 to June 25, 2009 . During its full 4-year mandate, it adopted 718 laws, two amendments to the constitution and six codes.
Elections to the 40th National Assembly were held on June 25, 2005, and yielded the following results:
