Novi Karlovtsi ( Serb. Novi Karlovtsi ) is a village in Serbia , in the community of India , in the Sremsky district of the autonomous region of Vojvodina , in the historical and geographical area of Srem . According to the 2002 census of Serbia, 3036 inhabitants lived in the village (according to the 1991 census - 2947 inhabitants).

The villagers are mainly engaged in agriculture, the main activity is field cultivation : the cultivation of wheat , corn , sunflower and sugar beets .

Demographics

According to the 2002 census, 2417 adult residents lived in the village of Novi Karlovtsi, with an average age of 40.4 years (39.3 years for men and 41.5 years for women). There are 901 households in the village and the average number of residents in households is 3.37.

The village is inhabited mainly by Serbs (according to the 2002 census of Serbia ).
