Timofey Ivanovich Ulyantsev ( Otradnev ; February 19, 1888, Dmitrovsky district - July 28, 1919 , Lankaran ) - a sailor - a Bolshevik , an active participant in the October Revolution and the Civil War .

Biography
He was born on February 19, 1888 in the Dmitrov district of the Oryol province (in the territory of the present Kursk region) in the family of a poor peasant.
In 1893-1909 he lived in Kryvyi Rih. Secondary education. He worked as a horse driver , a mechanic at the Perry mine in Krivoy Rog . A participant in the revolutionary events of 1905, formed fighting squads, was twice arrested.
In 1909, drafted into the fleet. In 1910 he graduated from the school of mine drivers, served in the Baltic Fleet on the destroyer Onega . In 1911 he joined the RSDLP , the Bolshevik. In 1913-1914 he led the Bolshevik organization on the cruiser " Russia ", since 1915 - a member of the Main Ship Collective of the Kronstadt Bolshevik Military Organization. In 1915 he was transferred to the 1st Baltic Fleet Crew, at the beginning of 1916 he was arrested and sentenced to 8 years in hard labor.
He was released during the February Revolution , was deputy chairman of the Kronstadt Party Committee, delegate to the 7th (April) All-Russian Conference of the RSDLP (b), a member of the Central Baltic . Not being a delegate, took part in the VI Congress of the RSDLP (b) .
Member of the October armed uprising in Petrograd. He led the organization of food squads . Since January 1918 - Member of the All-Russian Collegium for the Formation of the Red Army.
He was seconded by a military commissar in Donbass, a participant in the civil war in the Don . Since the summer of 1918 - the military commissar for organizing the Red Army in the Stavropol province , since the end of 1918 - the chairman of the Astrakhan military field tribunal.
In May 1919 he was sent to Lankaran to lead the armed groups of the Mugan Soviet Republic in military operations against the troops of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and the White Guard detachments operating in the region. He was killed in a battle in Lankaran during a collision with a detachment of whites (he was mortally wounded at Lankaran lighthouse [3] [4] ).
Memory
In the name of Timofey Ulyantsev in the USSR Navy two basic minesweepers and a patrol ship were named.
