Description
In the Russian Federation, the author's sheet is equal to 40,000 printed characters (including punctuation marks , numbers and spaces between words and up to fields), or 700 lines of poetic text, or 3000 cm² of reproduced author's illustrative material ( graphs , drawings , tables ). The author's sheet is the basis of a special calculation system for determining the volume of manuscripts prepared for publication and published works.
As a rule, one author's sheet is approximately 22–23 typed pages in Russian with standard filling or 10–12 printed with the help of computer equipment (printer) or typed and displayed in a text editor. Also, to measure the quantitative parameters of the publication, the term “ accounting sheet ” is used, which is equal to the copyright sheet.
To account for the volume of the publication, which the author submits to the publisher , the concept of “author's list” is used, and to account for the volume of publication before printing the circulation - “ accounting and publishing sheet ”.
For direct recalculation and comparison of volumes of publications in various formats, they use printed and conditional printed sheets . After the issue has been printed, the editions' pages are measured in special sheets-prints [1] [lit 1] .
