Kemerovo Children's Railway is an educational and production institution whose main purpose is the vocational guidance of secondary school students in the cities of Kemerovo, Topki , Berezovsky and others to study in institutions of higher, secondary and primary vocational education.

The first kilometer of the track was laid on the Kemerovo Children's Railway in June 2007. The construction of the subgrade for laying the first-stage track was more than half completed, more than 2 thousand sleepers were laid, the Pionerskaya station was practically built. The railway with a length of almost 4 kilometers stretches from the station on Pionersky Boulevard to the station Gorodskaya - near the Red Lake. At the same time, she will cross Pritomsky Avenue through a special overpass.

History

For the first time, information about it appeared in the Kuzbass mass media on September 7, 2006. These publications said that the governor of the Kemerovo region Aman Tuleyev and the head of the West Siberian Railway Alexander Tselko reached an agreement on the construction of a railway in the city of Kemerovo . And from September 8, a specially created commission began to search for a suitable place for it. Four days later, the Gudok newspaper wrote about the same thing, and even a little later, Komsomolskaya Pravda.

After several months of calm, in February 2007 it became known that the new road project prepared by the Sibgiprotrans and Zheldorproekt institutes was, on the whole, ready. The administration of the Kemerovo region and WZR agreed on joint financing of construction on an equal footing, allocating 150 million rubles for this. The commissioning of the road is scheduled for Miner's Day - the last Sunday of August.

The project provided for the construction of a 3.8-km-long path from Pionersky Boulevard to Red Lake along Pritomsky Prospekt. The main station of the DZhD - Pionerskaya station will be located opposite the Office of the Kuzbass Branch of the West Siberian Railway, on Pionersky Boulevard. At the intersection of DZhD with Tereshkova Street, a two-level interchange will be built. Due to the fact that Pritomsky Avenue was commissioned and opened on this site in October 2016, in connection with the construction of the Railways, Pritomsky was blocked during the construction of the intersection, and later Pritomsky was bent with an elevation for the tunnel, which negatively affects on a slope of the road.

In May 2007, construction work began on the site of the future Railway. A month later, the first kilometer of the track was laid, and in early July, the foundation was laid at Gorodskaya station near the Red Lake.

At the same time, rolling stock was being prepared. An order for the production of two diesel locomotives and six passenger cars was placed at the Kambara Engineering Plant. From cooperation with the Metrovagonmash plant West-Siberian railway decided to refuse. In early July, it became known that the locomotive depot in the Leninsk-Kuznetsk diesel locomotive TU7A-3345 installed a fake hood that simulates a steam locomotive - exactly the same as it was done three years ago on Novosibirsk Railway. In mid-August 2007, the locomotive was already delivered to the children's road. In early September, the first three cars appeared on the road, painted in the style of the Kuzbass corporate train (Kemerovo-Moscow). On September 13, 2007, the Kemerovo Railways train completed its first test run.

The grand opening of the road took place on October 12, 2007, but, unlike the Kazan Railway, this event was practically not covered in the press. Date of completion of the academic building: June 1, 2008.

There are two stations on the road: Pionerskaya and Gorodskaya, one junction - Pritomsky.

Rolling stock

There are diesel locomotives TU7A-3345, TU7A-3348 and TU10-023, 6 passenger cars on the Kemerovo Children's Railway. There are two trains: a diesel locomotive and three cars.
