Anninsky, Lev Alexandrovich

Early years

Born in the family of Alexander Ivanovich Ivanov-Anninsky ^[1] , a university teacher (later worked as a film producer at Mosfilm ), a Don Cossack from the village of Novoanninsky ^[2] . In 1941, his father volunteered for the front and went missing ^{[3] [4]} .

Mother - Anna Solomonovna Alexandrova ^{[* 1]} , from a Jewish family ^[3] , taught chemistry at a technical school ^{[2] [4]} .

Father - Alexander Anninsky, mother - Anna Alexandrova (did not guess - it turned out involuntarily). Father is a Don Cossack, mother is a Ukrainian Jewess. Met in red Moscow. It is unlikely that such a meeting would have been possible in the former Moscow, white-stone, for such alliances a revolution is needed, during which the young provincials rush to “conquer” the empty capital, and also: so that all the old - estate and national - partitions fall. Therefore, I owe the fact of my appearance to the Soviet government.

“Anninsky” is both a pseudonym and part of a real ^{[* 2]} last name. Father, dreaming of becoming an actor, added to his last name “Ivanov” the second part - “Anninsky” (named after the village of Novoanninsky) ^[1] .

In 1939, he starred in the movie “ Foundling ” ^{[* 3]} as a little boy in kindergarten, who wanted to be a tankman, a policeman, and even a border dog ^{[5] [4]} .

The worldview of a young man was largely shaped by the influence of books read in childhood and adolescence: these were myths of Ancient Greece , historical novels, works by Stevenson , G. Ebers , A. A. Antonovskaya , Gorky , Tolstoy , Pisarev , Belinsky . Back in his school years, he read the philosophical works of Kant , Hegel , N. A. Berdyaev , L. I. Shestov , V. V. Rozanov , S. N. Bulgakov , N. F. Fedorov , G. P. Fedotov . In high school, Lev Anninsky decided that he would be professionally engaged in Russian literature ^[2] . He graduated from school with a gold medal ^[5] .

Professional Activities

After graduating from the philological faculty of Moscow State University , Anninsky successfully passed exams to graduate school ^[2] , but the change in the “ideological line of the party ” in connection with the events of the fall of 1956 in Hungary became an obstacle to his scientific career — now only those who worked in production could become graduate students. Lev Anninsky got a job as an employee in the magazine " Soviet Union ", but six months later he was fired for "professional unsuitability." Then Anninsky had to (in his own words) “go to the litters” - he slowly got a taste and became a literary critic ^{[2] [4]} .

Anninsky was a full-time employee of the magazines " Soviet Union " (1956-1957), " Banner " (1960-1967), " Friendship of Peoples " (1972-1991 and since 1993, a member of the editorial board), " Literary Review " (1990-1992), “ Homeland ” (since 1992), “ Time and We ” (1998, editor-in-chief), “ Literary Newspaper ” (1957–1960), Institute of Concrete Sociological Research , USSR Academy of Sciences (1968–1972) ^{[6] [4]} ; his articles were also published in the magazines Ogonyok ^[5] , Ural ^[7] and others. Currently, he actively collaborates with the magazines Rodina and Friendship of Peoples (author’s columns) ^[8] , and teaches at ILLT and MUM ^[9] .

Leo Anninsky - author and host of the programs Silver and Mobile, Copper Pipes, Ambush Regiment, Boys of the State, Hunting for the Lion, and the programs I Lived. I was called Hercules "on the channel " Culture " ^[10] .

He is a member of the Union of Russian Writers , PEN Club ^[5] , a member of the jury of the literary prize "Yasnaya Polyana" ^[11] . Lives and works in Moscow ^[2] .
