Badminton competitions at the 2012 Summer Olympics were held from July 28 to August 5 . 5 sets of awards were played. For the first time in history in badminton, the Olympic award went to the Russian national team: Nina Vislova and Valery Sorokina won the bronze medals in the women's doubles.
