Tallulah Brockman Bankhead ( born Tallulah Bankhead , January 31, 1902 - December 12, 1968 ) is an American actress, famous for her wit, brilliant appearance, hoarse voice and excellently played roles in many plays and movies, mostly pre-war .

Occurred from the kind of political elite of the United States - in particular, her father William Brockman Bankhead was at the end of his life the speaker of the United States House of Representatives . I left school at the age of 15. Her theater debut took place in 1918 in New York , and was a success on the London stage from 1923 to 1931. Twice recognized New York theater critics best actress of the season.
Bankhead did not have children and under the age of 30 had an abortion four times.
