Yesterday

Created in 1989 on the basis of the theater-studio "Version" in the premises of the educational theater of the Conservatory. Sobinova . The founder and artistic director of the theater is Viktor Vladimirovich Sergienko . One of the first performances was “The Scandalous Incident with Mr. Cattle and Mrs. Moon” based on the play by J. B. Priestley . Since 1993 - municipal, since 1996 - municipal cultural institution. Since 1998 , after a fire in the rented premises of the conservatory, for a long time did not have a permanent site. He rented the premises of the Pobeda cinema.

Today

Since 2004, the theater has been located in the building of the City Center for National Culture (SCSC) of Saratov. On May 17, 2010, the New Drama Theater "Version" celebrated its anniversary. The theater turned 20 years old.

Since 2014, located in the building of the former Temp cinema.

In 2019, marks 30 years.
