Aeromechanics is a science, a branch of mechanics that studies the equilibrium and motion of gaseous media and the force interaction of these media with solids immersed in them.
Aeromechanics is divided into aerodynamics and aerostatics .
Of particular importance is the section of aeromechanics, known as flight mechanics and studying the aerodynamics of aircraft. In particular, experimental and theoretical methods for calculating the aerodynamic forces and moments acting on an aircraft are developed within its framework.
