The Entomological Society of Latvia ( The Entomological Society of Latvia (LEB) , Latvijas Entomoloģijas biedrība ) is an association of Latvian entomologists , created in 1951 and uniting insect specialists.

History
The Entomological Society of Latvia was created in Riga in 1951 as a non-governmental public association of amateurs and professionals in the field of entomology . The society consists of 70 members (not only from Latvia, but also from other states representing only 20 countries) and three sections:
- Commission of Trichopterology (Commission of Trichopterology; founded in 1988, now inactive)
- Section of Coleopterology (Section of Coleopterology; active since 1996)
- Division of Nature Research (DIS) (DOS. 2000), brings together specialists in leeches, mollusks, etc.
Magazines
The Entomological Society of Latvia publishes (or previously published) the following publications:
- Latvijas Entomologs (since 1960)
- Acta hydroentomologica latvica (1991-1997; together with Societas Odonatologica Internationalis)
- Latvijas entomologijas arhivs (1995-1997)
- Acta coleopterolocica latvica (since 1997; journal of the coleopterology section).

- 2004 - Dragonflies of the genus Callopteryx ( Odonata )
- 2005 - Ant Lion ( Myrmeleontidae ) ( Neuroptera )
- 2006 - Common Hermit ( Osmoderma eremita Scopoli, 1763 ), Coleoptera )
- 2007 - Common Bear ( Gryllotalpa gryllotalpa )
- 2008 - Barbel Carpenter ( Ergates faber Linnaeus, 1767 )
