Biography
George Kubansky was born in 1907 in Baku, spent his youth in the Krasnodar Territory. He studied and worked in Leningrad, and spent the last years of his life in Moscow. In the early days of World War II, he volunteered for the front and fought as a communications officer. He was wounded three times, and for his military courage and bravery he was awarded orders and medals. The end of the war found the Kuban in Austria.
Literary career
He began to write Kuban rather early, and his first stories appeared in magazines in the 1920s. After the end of World War II, he returned to literary activity, among the results of which the most famous are works based on his military memories. [one]
