1952 England Super Cup

The England Super Cup 1952 ( Eng. 1952 FA Charity Shield ) is the 30th draw of the English Super Cup , an annual football match in which the winners of the First Division and the owners of the FA Cup of the previous season meet. The match was attended by clubs Manchester United (champion of the First Division of the 1951/52 season ) and Newcastle United (winner of the 1952 FA Cup). The game took place on September 24, 1952 at the Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester . After a break with a minimum score of 1-0, Newcastle led, but in the end Manchester United won with a score of 4: 2. The authors of the goals were Jack Rowley (made a double), Roger Byrne and John Downey for Manchester United and Qeeble (made a double) for Newcastle.
