Lu Zuqian

Lu Zuqian ( Chinese 吕祖谦 ), nicknamed Bogun ( Chinese 伯 恭 ), was nicknamed "Mr. from Donglai", ( 1137 , Wuzhou (modern Jinhua of Zhejiang ) - 1181 ) - a neo-Confucian philosopher, the forerunner of the Zhe Dong school .

Lu Zucian was in the public service, including the editor of the Chancellery of State Historiography, professor at the Imperial Higher School; had the highest degree of jinshi . Admirers ranked him among the "three sages of the Southeast" along with Zhu Si and Zhang Shi . Lu Zucian sought to reconcile ideological disagreements between Zhu Xi and Lu Juyuan , primarily in the field of management doctrine, and in 1175 even arranged for their meeting. In the field of historical science, Lu Zuqian was interested in the origin of the most ancient monuments of Chinese writing.
