Content
History
From the beginning of the 20th century it was called Perm Street . On May 20, 1949, the executive committee of the Leningrad City Council immortalized the memory of a prominent Soviet scientist, power engineer and builder of Soviet hydroelectric power plants, academician Heinrich Osipovich Graftio (1869-1949), calling this street the name of Graftio.

On the street is the house-museum of the Russian singer F.I. Chaliapin (Graftio St., 2b), which is now one of the branches of the St. Petersburg Museum of Theater and Music [1] , which conducts thematic cultural programs at all its sites [2] . A memorial plaque in memory of the Russian traveler G. E. Grum-Grzhimailo ’s living in it was installed on the same house [3] .
