Windows Mobile 6.1 is a version of the operating system for PDAs and Windows Mobile smartphones , presented at CTIA Wireless 2008 in April 2008. It is the successor to Windows Mobile 6.0 and the predecessor of Windows Mobile 6.5.

Innovations
Windows Mobile 6.1 is a small update to the Windows Mobile 6 platform with various performance improvements.
The initial screen (Today) has been changed: its so-called "tiles" with information can expand when clicked, but this function is only available in the Standard edition. It was not supported in the Professional edition. [one]
Also, several other changes were added, such as SMS streaming, full-screen scaling in Internet Explorer and the “Domain Enroll” function, as well as the mobile version of Microsoft OneNote and the special program “Getting Started”. Domain Enroll is a feature for connecting a device to System Center Mobile Device Manager 2008, a special product for managing mobile devices. [2]
The most obvious of other innovations is that Standard (as in previous versions) still creates automatic links for phone numbers in Tasks and Appoitments, which makes it easier to manage stored phone numbers. This feature is also not supported in the Professional version. [3]
