Description
The width within the city of Kozelsk is 5-7 meters, around the mouth is about 10 meters, the depth is from several tens of centimeters to about 2 meters.
It was originally called Drugusna , later a derogatory suffix (-ka) was added. The indigenous inhabitants of the city of Kozelsk have an oral tradition that in one of the ancient Russian chronicles there is a record relating to the period of the Tatar-Mongol invasion and the capture of the city by the troops of Batu , where in the story of the dead defenders of the city about the river it is written: “... a dream friend (meaning a lost warrior) has its own quiet waters ... ”. According to legend, approximately since then the river has this name. [2]
