Career
He began his professional career in 1998 at the Dutch club Vitesse , where he played until 2005. In 2000, it was leased to another Dutch club - Fortuna (Sittard). In December 2005, Amoa signed a two-year contract with Dortmund Borussia [2] [3] , then the coach of the German club was Bert van Marwijk , who also coached Fortuna (Sittard) in 2000. For the German club, he spent only 17 matches in the league, did not score a single goal, and on July 3, 2007 Amoa signs a three-year contract with the Dutch club NAC , the transfer amount was 250 thousand euros. The reason for his departure from Borussia was the lack of playing practice. “We have been counting on this contract for many months,” said Ernie Stewart, Technical Director of Breda. “At first it seemed that it would be impossible to conclude a contract, but this week the negotiations went faster” [4] .
In September 2011 he moved to the Turkish club " Mersin Idmanyurdu " [5] . In June 2012, he became a player in the Dutch club Heerenveen [6] [7] , but did not play a single official match for the team. At the end of July 2013, Matthew went to see Heracles from Almelo [8] , and later signed a one-year contract with the club [9] .
