Story
Lois , irritated by the fact that Peter spends more time with the TV than with his family, offers him to teach Meg to drive a car. He agrees and gives Meg driving lessons, after which she fails the driving test.
On the way back, Peter crashes into a television transmitter, leaving the whole Quahog without television.
Meanwhile, Stewie invents a weather adjustment machine designed to destroy the entire broccoli crop (which he hates) on Earth.
Peter persuades Meg to take the blame for what he did. When Lois finds out about this, she is very angry.
Meanwhile, Stewie steals from the garage a twisted satellite dish (Peter accidentally dragged her along) to amplify the signal of his device.
Peter is so suffering from the loss of television that he even calls a friend in Boston to tell him the latest episode of the New York Police Department ( NYPD Blue ). As a result, Peter invents a device that replaces his loss: a cardboard frame, which he secures in front of him in such a way that now the whole world is in front of him, like on a screen, wherever he goes, and whatever he sees.
Meanwhile, Meg, unable to bear the universal contempt, admits that it is not she, but her father who is to blame for the breakdown of the television transmitter, and the whole city is against Peter. Fortunately, Lois saves her husband by giving a fiery speech before everyone about how television deprives people of the joys of real life. This speech makes so strong impression on Peter himself that now he does not give rest to his family, dragging them from the event to the event. When the family fails, Peter leaves with William Shatner .
Meanwhile, Stewie's apparatus causes a violent storm with a thunderstorm, and lightning destroys the "weather machine." Peter and Shatner and Lois with Meg get into the same storm during a driving lesson. Meg to death knocks Shatner, lost control. In the hospital, to the plastered and helpless Peter, the “well-wisher” nurse turns on the TV, which he willy-nilly has to watch. Very soon, Peter again falls into a former "television addiction", to the relief of his family.
