The 4-Hour Workweek
In April 2007, the publishing house Random House published a book on the effective management of their own time, “The 4-Hour Workweek,” its full name translates into Russian roughly like: “How to work 4 hours a week without hanging around the office“ from phone to phone “ and still live anywhere and get rich. ” In this book, the author talks about how to manage yourself and effectively delegate work and home tasks, as well as avoid information overload by developing your own “lifestyle”. [5] He also advocates hiring virtual assistants from developing countries such as India . [five]
Before the release of this book, Ferriss was unknown. [6] To a large extent, his book was sold through bloggers with whom he created a personal relationship. [6] [7] Since then, praises this technique. [6] [8] As a result, the book became number one on the New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller lists. [9]
The release of this book allowed Ferriss's blog to hit the top 1,000 on Technorati . [10] According to the Fast Company, this book is read by "a multitude of technical executives around the world." [eleven]
