After several years of collaboration with the British Cradle of Filth, he joined the Norwegian symphonic black metal band Dimmu Borgir .
After being fired from the group, Barker continued to play with Brujeria, Old Man's Child. As announced January 15, 2008, Barker is also officially the new drummer for the death metal band Atrocity and Leaves' Eyes.
As announced on May 26, 2008, Barker is no longer drumming for Leaves' Eyes.
