She became well-known after June 23, 1981, when at the Camp Nou stadium she organized a banner hanging campaign with the slogan “We are a separate nation” (cat. Som una Nació). The Spanish government, the security service and the Catalan Association of Victims of Terrorist Organizations (cat. Associació Catalana de Víctimes d'Organitzacions Terroristes) have recognized this organization as terrorist. The principles of the organization’s activities are set out in the “Credo Terra Liura” declaration (cat. Crida de Terra Lliure): they include the defense of the territory of Catalan countries, language, national sovereignty, the interests of the Catalan workers and opposition to the Spanishization of Catalan society. The organization’s slogans are: “Independence or death!”, “Long live the armed struggle”, “One nation - Catalan countries” (cat. Independencia o mort! Visca la lluita armada! Una sola nació, Països Catalans!).
One of the leaders of Terra Liura Per Bascompt (cat. Pere Bascompte) joined another political party, the Republican Catalonia Left. His ideas, set out in June 1991 in a document entitled “The Democratic Choice for Independence during European Unification” (cat. Davant el procés d'unitat europea, l'opció democràtica cap a la independència), were subsequently widely publicized by the Republican Left the party of Catalonia, which provoked a scandal within the left themselves - its leaders were accused of having become the “voice” of the terrorist organization Terra Liura.
Terra Leura dissolved itself on September 11, 1995. Spanish Prime Minister Felipe Gonzalez granted amnesty to those members of the organization who did not participate in terrorist acts.
