The eponymous railway station of the northern direction of Transsib , section Perm - Yekaterinburg .
Content
History
The settlement was founded in 1903 as a village when laying the Perm - Yekaterinburg railway. In 1907-1909, the station complex was formed, which included a depot, a water tower, a railway station, and residential buildings. The project of the station building was developed by the architect F.E. Vols, who also planned and other stations on this branch of the railways. From 1937 the settlement became a district center. The status of the urban-type settlement - since 1943 .
October 19, 2015 was the epicenter of an earthquake rare for the Urals with a magnitude of about 4 points [3] [4] .
By the law of the Sverdlovsk region of March 28, 2017 No. 25-OZ [5], the village of Nikitinka was annexed to the working village of Shalya.
Since October 1, 2017, according to the regional law N 35-OZ, the status has been changed from the working village to the urban-type settlement [6] .
