The name comes from Evensk. golem - "wood place". This is due to the fact that on the stream near the modern village there were a lot of dry thick logs that nomadic Evens used as fuel [2] .

Content

History

At the end of August 1940 , a settlement arose [4] near the mine on the basis of the richest cassiterite deposit [3] and reserves of coal accessible by open pit mining.

On August 8, 1941, under the GUSDS Order No. 421, in particular, it was prescribed to launch the construction of an enrichment plant β€œon the Galim” with the completion of work on April 1, 1942 [5] .

On October 5 of the same year, the Galimy mine was formed in the Omsukchan mining complex. The mine mined tin [5] .

On April 15, 1952, the GUSDS order No. 302 noted that due to the small volume of work for 1952 and due to the territorial proximity of mining to the 14 bis factory, the Galimy mine was liquidated from April 25. All work is transferred to the 14 bis factory, which includes the organization of a first category mining site for the extraction of tin from placer deposits [5] .

On December 22, 1953, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR, the Galimi Village Council of the North Even Region was formed [6] .

On August 19, 1954, Galimy received the status of an urban-type settlement [6] .

On February 16, 1956, according to the order of the GUSDS No. 100, I category is established in connection with the enlargement of sites, as well as taking into account the complexity of mining and simultaneous work at several horizons on the mountain sections of the Galimy mine [6] .

On August 16 of the same year, the Magadan Oblast Executive Committee decided to open a school for working youth in the village. Galimov [6] .

On February 20, 1986, at the Dukatsky GOK, a trial run of the enrichment plant in the village. Galim after reconstruction [6] .

On July 27, 2007, the Administration of the Magadan Region decided: β€œTo agree with the Decision of the Meeting of Representatives of the Omsukchansky District of the Magadan Region dated May 30, 2007 N 36 on the need to close the village of Galimy in the Omsukchansky District and recognize the specified settlement as being closed” [7] .
