Geography

It is located in the lower reaches of the Burkhala River, 30 km northwest of the town of Yagodnoye , 52 km southeast of Susuman , 355 north of Magadan .

The Kolyma highway passes through the village, 3 km to the east there is a bridge over the Debin River.

History

In 1932, a geological exploration party worked on the river bank, which discovered the first gold. In 1940, a mine was formed here - one of the oldest in Kolyma [2] . The status of an urban-type settlement has been since 1956 . Named along the river, from Evensk. Burgali - "thickets of poplar on the banks of the river."
