Content

Geography

Located at the confluence of the Darovka and Cobra rivers ( Vyatka basin), 61 km northwest of the Kotelnich railway station. The distance to the administrative center is 184 km. The distance to the nearest railway station is 61 km.

The soils on the farm are sod-podzolic and illuvial-glandular with a small layer of humus. It is represented by sand, sandy loam, loam, there are boulders, limestones. Natural soil productivity is low. Soils are mainly acidic, requiring liming.

History

It was founded in October 1717 in connection with the petition of the inhabitants of Toroshchina Sloboda for the construction of a church and the foundation of the village of Darovsky. In the XVIII century, a small (15-20 houses) village with a village church. Residents were mainly engaged in agriculture. Since 1965, an urban-type settlement.
