Itatsky is an urban-type settlement in the Tyazhinsky district of the Kemerovo region of Russia , the administrative center of the Itatsky urban settlement .

Content

Geography

The village is located near the Itatka River (a tributary of the Chulym ), by whose name it was named. The distance to the regional center ( Kemerovo ) is 250 km. Located along the federal highway M-53 Novosibirsk - Irkutsk. There is a railway station in the village.

History

The village of Itat was founded in 1773 by Belarusian peasant immigrants. In 1924-1932 and 1946-1960 it was the center of the Itat district . In 1958, the Itat village received the status of an urban-type settlement and changed its name to the present. It was planned to build a city near the village [2] .
