Igirma railway station on the Ust-Ilimsk-Khrebtovaya line.
Located on the banks of the Igirma River, at the confluence of the Black River.
The construction of the village began with the laying of the Khrebtovaya - Ust-Ilimsk railway line.
On December 28, 1965, the first landing party of builders left the Khrebtovaya station on the Igirma.

- Geographical position
The new Igirma is located in the center of Siberia , on the banks of the Igirma River, in a shallow basin.
The average height above sea level is 310 m. The highest point is on the once abandoned work site beyond the Kuban region and is 322 m. The length of the New Igirma from north to south is 4.12 km, from west to east - 4.56 km.
