Biography
Pavel Chukhrai was born on October 14, 1946 in the village of Bykovo, Moscow Region, in the family of film director Grigory Naumovich Chukhrai [2] and Iraida Pavlovna Chukhrai (nee Penkova, born 1921), a teacher of Russian language and literature.
Early childhood Pavel spent with his father's parents in the village of Kaplunovka, Kharkiv region of the Ukrainian SSR . In 1953, Grigory Chukhrai received a referral to the studio to them. Dovzhenko , and the family moved to Kiev . In 1955, Paul and his parents moved to Moscow . From 1962 to 1964, he worked as a radio installer and illuminator at the Mosfilm studio, while studying at the evening school. Creativity
Pavel Chukhrai’s directorial debut in a big movie was “You Remember Sometimes” (1977).
In 1979, wrote the screenplay for the film " Who pays for luck? "(Dir. Konstantin Khudyakov ).
The second film, “ People in the Ocean ” (1980), brought the director the Gold Medal to them. A. P. Dovzhenko (1981), Lenin Komsomol Prize (1981), special prize and jury diploma at the Film Festival of Young Cinematographers (Moscow, 1980).

Pavel Chukhray removed his name as the author of the script from the captions [8] .
In 2015, the director began to create the film " Cold Tango " (working title - "Alien") [9] [10] . The film premiered at the opening of the XXVIII Film Festival Kinotavr in Sochi, where Pavel Chukhrai was awarded the prize "For the honor, dignity and dedication to cinema" [11] [12] .
