WOWOW ( ワ ウ ワ ウ wowwa ) is Japan's first private and paid satellite television . Analog broadcasting began on April 1, 1991, and digital broadcasting began on December 1, 2000 . The network began its development with 207 thousand subscribers (sales of 31.5 billion yen ), and in two years grew to 2.66 million subscribers (sales of 64.5 billion yen).
WOWOW mainly re-broadcasts the films, but there are also often various anime works, such as the Cowboy Bebop version without cut scenes. [one]
