Sync Services for ADO.NET is a data synchronization platform from Microsoft that provides synchronization between databases. They provide an API that allows you to create applications for offline use and collaboration. Sync Services for ADO.NET provides synchronization between two peers, such as between a SQL Server database or SQL Server Compact 3.5 client database, and any server database for which there is an ADO.NET provider.
