Santimaminier Cave , Basque. Santimamiñe is located in the estuary of Urdaibai ( en: Urdaibai ), municipality of Cortesubi , province of Bizkaia , Basque Country . This is one of the most important archaeological sites of the Basque Country, which presents an almost continuous sequence of archaeological cultures from the Middle Paleolithic (Neanderthal Mousterian culture ) to the Iron Age .
The most notable are the cave drawings of the Madeleine culture , depicting bison , horses , goats and deer .
