Club sawflies

Mace sawflies [1] ( lat. Cimbicidae ) - a family of seated-bellied hymenopterans from the group of sawflies of the superfamily Tenthredinoidea . The family includes about 200 species. Large sawflies, Cimbex femoratus is up to 3 cm long.

Distribution

They are found everywhere, mainly in the Holarctic (130 species). In Europe, about 50 species.
