Biography and career
The directorial career of the then inexperienced Jan began with a meeting with Thiel Schweiger at the Cologne bookstore. They had a conversation on finalizing the script for the film “ Knocking on Heaven ”. The Hollywood film director Quentin Tarantino offered to make an advertisement for the film a pandanus . However, Jan could not repeat the success of this film, and his next film, “Kai Rabe gegen die Vatikankiller”, practically failed. Since then, Ian has been mainly engaged in staging commercials.
Achievements and rewards
- 1997 : Gran Angular Cultural Organization Award for Best Film - in Sitges at the Catalan International Film Festival
- 1998 : Audience Award and Grand Prix of the Valenciennes International Festival of Action and Adventure Films for the filming of Tatort, Der Dicke, Balko and Sperling.
