Indoor metromaost is a terminology related to the closed dome of semi-underground or above-ground sections of distillation tunnels in metros , but implying three types of these structures:
- full-fledged "covered" metro bridges , built akin to open on their own structures, but differing from them by placing paths under the dome, consisting of iron or reinforced concrete structures, and, in some cases, sprinkled with earth;
- Metro collectors , which are semi-underground intersections by distillation tunnels of an underground object (usually a river or reservoir in its own collector), in the case only the supporting structures of the paths are strengthened, the metrocollector has no obvious supports and looks like a flat plate from the surface, sometimes with a slight elevation;
- embankments representing a modification of the initial landscape with partial immersion of the object to be crossed under the ground, the paths over which are also placed in tubing and covered with earth, but located above the zero surface level most often due to difficult geological conditions (for example, wetland).
Inside, covered metro bridges often do not differ from the usual tunnel and are invisible to passengers. From the outside, such constructions are often sprinkled with earth, therefore, outside the metro bridge can only be determined by noticeable vibration and noise.
Covered metro bridges and metro collectors in Moscow
- The “University” - “Vernadsky Avenue” and “Vykhino” - “Lermontovsky Prospekt” distilleries are reinforced tubing-iron crossings over wetland (in the latter case, the “swamp” was created by chance at the moment of breaking through the quayside when creating the inter-tunnel connection). There are no collectors.
- Medvedkovsky metro bridge . It was built in 1978 on the Babushkinskaya - Medvedkovo stretch of the Kaluga-Riga line over the Yauza River. It is the first and only full-fledged covered metro bridge in Moscow, which has a clearance over the open river and pedestrian walkways under the tunnel along its banks.
- Cherkizovo. It was built in 1990 on the Preobrazhenskaya Ploshchad - Cherkizovskaya line of the Sokolnicheskaya line above the Sosenka River (in the collector) near Cherkizovsky Pond.
- Vladykino. It was built in 1991 on the Vladykino - Otradnoe stretch of the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya line over the Likhoborka River (in the collector).
- Lublin. It was built in 1996 on the Volzhskaya - Lyublino stretch of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line above the Ponarka River (in the collector) and the drained part of the Lyublin pond (embankment).
- North Butovo. It was built in the mid-1990s on the “Annino” stretch - “Dmitry Donskoy Boulevard” of the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya line above the Bittsa River , between Bolshoi and Maly Kachalovsky ponds. The movement of trains began on December 26, 2002. A similar ferry also exists along the tracks of the Butovskaya line extended to Lesoparkovaya station in February 2014. In both places the river flows in the reservoir below the level of the tunnels.
