Ai-Mitsu ( Japanese 靉 光 , real name Nichiro Ishimura ( Japanese 石村 日 郎 Ishimura Nichiro:) , born June 24, 1907 Hiroshima - d. January 19, 1946 Shanghai ) is a Japanese artist.

Biography
1907 - born in Mibu-cho, Yamagata County, Hiroshima Prefecture. 1922 - Starts working at Ibuki Design in Osaka . 1923 - studying at the Tensai School in Osaka; begins to use the name Mitsuro Aikawa . 1924 - moves to Tokyo , attends Taihei Yogakai Institute. 1926 - First prize at the 13th Nika-ten exhibition (participated under the name Ai-Mitsu). 1927 - together with Masao Tsuruoka and other artists founded the Kögenkai Society
1938 - First prize for landscape painting ( Landscape with Eyes ) at the 8th Dokuritsubijutsu-kyokai competition (Independent Association of Artists) . 1939 - co-founder of Bijutsu-kyokai (Artistic and Cultural Association) . 1940 - together with Shunsuke Matsumoto, Saburo Aso, Masao Tsuruoka and others creates the Shinjingakai (New Association of Artists) . 1944 - at the end of World War II, he became seriously ill in Wuhan . 1946 - dies in Shanghai due to illness.
