Guido Egisto Edward Vecchi ( Italian. Guido Egisto Edvard Vecchi ; January 23, 1910 , Malmö - May 17, 1997 , Gothenburg ) is a Swedish cellist and music teacher of Italian origin. The son of cellist Gottardo Vecchi .

In 1936 - 1976 Accompanist of the cello group of the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra . He also performed as an ensemble musician, including as a member of the piano quartet with Brita Yort . A number of works by Swedish composers were written for Vecca , including the Josty Nyström Concert Symphony ( 1945 ), a concert for the cello and orchestra by Bu Linde ( 1969 ), and others. Among the students of Vecca, first of all, Frans Helmerson .
Honorary Doctor of the University of Gothenburg ( 1989 ).
