The online game "Heroes of War and Money" was released on March 1, 2007. The project was created by a group of people passionate about the world of adventure and fantasy.
Game mechanics
The rules of the game are allowed to create only three characters. When registering, the player is asked to select a faction of the hero, which can be changed later. The choice of a faction determines the availability of specific skills, as well as the composition of the hero's army (each faction has a unique composition of the army), which greatly influences the strategy and tactics of the battle.
In combat, players can fight each other (PvP battles), fight with a computer (PvE battles), and also participate in various tournaments, events, and even global wars. In addition to the combat component, you can work in the game, perform trading operations, complete quests and navigate the game world.
In addition, players actively communicate with each other, both inside battles, in special chats, on the game forum, and at numerous [1] [2] offline meetings.
After a victorious battle, the army and mana are restored instantly. After defeat in battle, a counter of the army’s and mana’s recovery is automatically started, which takes 15 minutes. Health recovery speed can be increased (up to 40%) by purchasing a house or paying for a hotel room in another player’s house, and mana being in the “Sunny City” or “Shining Spring” sectors (recovery is 20% faster). After being ambushed by a thief, the army is fully restored, regardless of whether you won or not.
Guilds
There are eleven guilds in the game - character trades. You can be a hunter, thief, ranger, worker, gambler, mercenary, tactician, blacksmith, jeweler, as well as a master of armor and weapons, or practice several professions at once.
Hunters Guild
The hunters guild is designed to protect the lands of the Empire against creature attacks. For winning, the player receives a reward in the form of a sum of money, skills of the faction and guild, and, if lucky, specific artifacts (sets of Hunter, Master Hunter, Great Hunter or Hypericum). A player can hunt every 40 minutes for all types of creatures in the game (more than 200+ species), and the same creature can be hunted an infinite number of times, however, after winning the next time the number of creatures will be more (N = n * 1.69 ^ max (Y; 0.1), where N is the new number of creatures, n is the old number (before victory over them), Y is a handyman taken in the last victorious battle with them. If a successful hunt was carried out alone (that is, Y = 0.5 ), the army will increase by 30%.). Thus, each player has his own personal records in hunts, and there is also a rating of records throughout the Empire [1] . For 1-3 combat level hunting is available every 10 minutes. At night (from 00:00 to 8:00), hunting is twice as likely, regardless of the level. There is also an opportunity to increase the “loss” of hunts by 25% by purchasing a special “Hunter's License” for gaming gold or twice when buying a “Hunter's Master License” for diamonds.
Thieves Guild
Secret society of thieves, the main purpose of which are attacks on caravans. However, to join it is to be quite a wealthy character, because the Guild is elite. You can join the guild only if you have a special invitation from another thief or by paying a fee to the thieves guild. Become a thief can only characters from 6 combat level. The scroll disappears from the inventory after the application, however, when you receive the 5th level in the guild, the thief is issued a new one.
Rangers Guild
Access to guild battles opens at 7 combat level. To enter, you must defeat the ranger mentor. This guild is the opposite of the Thieves Guild. In the battles of this guild, you are given an assistant, while his faction is any other than a mage. He understands the following commands: 1) Wait: the hero and his army will wait (and the hero too). 2) x: y (coordinates of the enemy detachment on which the attack should be concentrated, where x is the horizontal coordinate, y is the vertical. For example, 11: 1); 3) attack (attack in freedom of action, applicable after the 1st or 2nd team).
Workers Guild
The workers' guild unites all the workers in the game real estate objects, and is responsible for the income derived from work and production efficiency. You can get a job once an hour, with each job device adding one point to the workers' guild. With an increase in the level of the guild of workers increases the fee per hour of work character.
Guild of Carters
The guild unites all admirers of the Two Towers card game (see the Two Towers card game section). - - the release of gaming property, protection from raids or battle with the armies of neutral creatures ;
- - transportation of goods.
Tactician's Guild
The guild for fighting with real opponents according to certain rules is available from the 9th combat level after passing a special test: defeat a copy of your army.
Fights in the guild of tactics are divided into two types: 1) Dueling battles between players of the same level; 2) Multi-level mixed group battles.
Applications for battles are accepted from 20 to 30 and from 50 to 00 minutes of each hour. One minute before the deadline for accepting applications, heroes who could not find a pair in duels can join the application for mixed combat. At 30 and 00 minutes of each hour, if there are at least 6 participants, the heroes are automatically distributed into mixed battles. The system does not guarantee the formation of a battle for each participant.
For winning a battle, players receive guild points (from 1.0 to 1.5, depending on the type and composition of the combat participants) and, with some probability, a random artifact of the creatures. The losing side gets from 0.2 to 0.3 guild points.
The number of faction skills gained in guild battles has been increased by 25% compared with a similar group battle. With each obtained level, the hero is given one of 13 unique artifacts from the tactics kit; from the first tactic guild level there is a chance to pick up a copy of one of the enemy artifacts (with low strength and no transmission).
Kuznetsov Guild
Having received 6 combat level and having built a forge in his castle, any hero can learn how to repair broken artifacts. With an increase in the level of the guild, the efficiency of repair increases (expressed in% of strength), up to 90% of the initial strength. The guild requires the contribution of a large amount of gambling gold in order for it to start making a profit.
Gunsmith Guild
Guild allows players to upgrade any known artifact, which after processing acquires new magical properties. Upgrades are made for items received from the Mercenaries Guild or purchased from other players. The same elements could be obtained during some events. The quality of modernization depends on the skill of the Armory Guild and its categories (Master of Weapons, Master of Armor, Jeweler).
Guardian Guild
Ancient legends tell about the mysterious guild of guards, who from ancient times defended the lands of the Empire from its many enemies. With an invisible shield, the guards protected the Empire, fighting invaders, uprooting rebels, keeping ancient relics and magical sources. Sometimes it seemed that the saving hand of the guards was lost, and then the inhabitants of the Empire had to defend their native lands with a weapon, but then everything returned to normal. Many heroes tried unsuccessfully to find the location of the guild and the guards themselves, but the defenders waited for the predicted hour. They knew that the time would come when the Empire would be under the onslaught of unprecedented enemies. And then they will have to ask about the help of the most worthy of heroes who are ready to join the ranks of the guards ..
Seekers Guild (Campaign)
Lovers of travel and adventure combined in a guild of seekers, whose points can be obtained for the passage of campaigns. Campaigns are story missions on unique mini-maps, during which you can participate in battles, collect items and conduct dialogues. Unlike quest battles, in campaigns the army and the hero’s parameters always correspond to yours, which makes it possible for a campaign to be completed by different factions.
Guild points - this is the sum of the best passing points of each campaign for each faction and class, regardless of the level and complexity . Thus, going through the campaign again for the same faction and class at a new level, you will get extra points only if you improve the result taking into account the level of difficulty. The rating points for passing are calculated according to the following formula:
- 0.8 * Efficiency for "Novice" difficulty
- 1 * Efficiency for Warrior difficulty
- 1.2 * Efficiency for “Hero” difficulty
Example: Having completed the 15th campaign search for a healer for an elf on an average difficulty level, you gained an efficiency of 90% and received 100 * 0.9 = 90 points of the Seekers Guild. Then you passed her for an elf-spellcaster on heroic difficulty, gaining an efficiency of 100% and getting another 1.0 * 120 = 120 guild points. After that you moved to the 16th level. You can go through the campaign again for the elf-charmer, earning experience, skills and reward, but do not get guild points for any result. Having gone through the campaign for a regular elf on a Warrior or Hero, you can get another 10 (100 - 90) or 30 (120 - 90) guild points, respectively, it is useless to pass it on the Novice for rating.
Clans
The game provides for the possibility of combining players into clans. Clans are divided into combat and technical. Technical clans are created for one specific game purpose or are interest clans. The tasks of combat clans is to participate in hostilities. If technical clans are limited to only one type of activity, then combat clans are universal. In many clans, participants pay taxes — transfer the gold to the responsible character. Many clans have certain discounts for members: on the rental of artifacts and the services of a blacksmith [3] ..

History
The roots of the game go to the popular Heroes of Might and Magic 5 universe. In early 2007, a group of fantasy enthusiasts and fans decided to create their own project that would combine colorful and exciting battles with multiplayer online games without installing additional clients on the computer.
The official launch of the game took place on March 1, 2007, but since that time the visual part of the game has changed significantly - shadows and blood appeared in battles, units got their own animation (scratching, shifting from foot to foot, when falling in a zombie's head it falls off several cells back, etc.). November 16, 2009 in the battles appeared sound.
On May 1, 2008, an English version of the game was launched specifically for players from abroad [6] .
There is a special topic on the game forum [7] in which administrators announce innovations and development plans for the near future. From the large-scale expected changes, one can single out the appearance of clan wars and the complication of the economic part of the game.
January 23, 2013 merged Russian and English-speaking servers.
Game Events
In the game, global events occur periodically: the attack of aggressors, the seizure of new territories, etc. Players who take an active part in such events can claim to receive especially valuable things: medals, orders or even rare books (elements of ammunition with enhanced characteristics and durability) . The value of such items is quite high, and especially rare and unique trophy rarities often get even not just the players, but only the clans for which they stand.
In any case, getting such a thing is not only beneficial, but also honorable.
The uniqueness of such items lies in their characteristics and small quantities. Sometimes rarities are put up by a small amount on the market by the administration (on an auction basis) - this gives an opportunity to get them to those players who did not participate in the corresponding game event.
Heroic News
The game has its own newspaper called “HWM Daily Hero News Feed” [8] .
Heroic Radio
On February 1, 2010, [9] a radio game called “Heroic” was opened.
On the waves of the heroic radio, you can hear music of any genre, order your own melody via the forum, also send greetings or congratulations.
Live, you can take part in the discussion of gaming problems, participate in contests and quizzes, listen to interviews with famous players, ask them a live question, listen to comments on the ongoing fight, tournament, learn new rumors, secrets and much more. The radio was created by the players Miriy and Infiniti82 on an initiative basis.
Battle Fighting
The fights in the game have a completely graphical appearance and take place step by step on a small map divided by a grid into cells - like chess . The sequence of moves is determined by a special scale and depends on the initiative of the squad (during the battle, the sequence can be changed using spells or when special skills of some units are triggered) - the so-called dynamic combat system. The goal of the battle is to destroy all creatures in the enemy army. After the battle, both sides get the ability to lead the chosen faction and experience, but the winning side, of course, gets more skill and experience. The more creatures on the battlefield will be killed by the player, the more skill and experience will be gained.
Fights are divided into several groups:
Duels
A one-on-one fight with an opponent that the player chooses himself.
Group fights
Fights in which up to 8 people can participate. Distribution can be:
- At will (you can join for any of the parties);
- Uniform (teams of players are approximately equal);
- Random (the distribution of players on teams occurs randomly);
- Every man for himself 4 or 6 people;
- Avtoboi: a unique type of fighting, where AI takes control, is usually available on holiday days for the game. It is worth noting that this is the only, at the moment, type of battles, in which 8 players take part (battles are held in 4x4 format, the distribution is random);
- Fighting in the dark: just like every man for himself, just before the start the opponents are unknown, and during the battle the names of the players are hidden. Levels of players may not be equal with a difference of 1 level.
In the first five cases, the levels of players may differ, depending on the conditions of the created application.
Tournaments
The system of fights between players of the same combat level. Official tournaments are held with the support of the administration, so they have very valuable prizes. Previously, there was a reward not only in the form of gaming resources, but also in the form of real money - transfer to a wallet in the WebMoney system. Now there is no such possibility.
The game has the following types of official tournaments:
- Small tournament
Tournament battles take place in a 1-by-1 duel scheme. Points are awarded for a victory, the winners are those who score the most.
- Dark tournament
Tournament battles are held according to the “dark battles” scheme (the opponent's nickname is not known until the end of the tournament), 4 or 6 players, each for himself.
Features of fights in a dark tournament:
- The current combat ID is hidden;
- Fights of the tournament are hidden in the list of fights;
- Бои турнира скрыты в протоколе других игроков до окончания турнира;
- Ники героев скрыты в боях и протоколах до окончания турнира;
- Просмотр турнирного боя доступен только его участникам;
- Игроки, вступившие в гильдию тактиков, получают по 0.3 очка гильдии тактиков за каждое очко в турнире.

- ТреТёмный турнир
Видоизменённый Тёмный турнир. Бои проводятся аналогично — по схеме «бои в темную», 6 равноуровневых игроков, каждый сам за себя. Противоборствующие стороны: герои Империи, воины Алека (управляются ИИ), воины Рейзара (управляются ИИ) — по два героя на арене с каждой стороны. Все имена и отличительные признаки героев скрываются под действием «тёмной» арены. Первый выбывший с поля боя не получает очков, второй получает 1 очко, третий 2 очка, четвёртый 3 очка, пятый 4, а победитель получает 5 очков за бой. Кроме того, помимо индивидуального подсчёта очков ведётся и командный. — Игроки от 9-го уровня, вступившие в гильдию тактиков, получают по 0.3 очка этой гильдии за каждое очко в турнире. Чем больше войска героя не совершают активных действий, тем больше шансов на появление самоуправства — явления, при котором на один ход управление войсками игрока берет на себя компьютер.
- Турнир на выживание
Игроки сражаются на арене с ордами нейтральных существ, управляемых ИИ , которые непрерывно атакуют игроков. Таким образом, в боях этого турнира победить невозможно, а игроки соревнуются в том, как долго они продержатся и сколько урона нанесут.
- Тронная битва
В этом турнире игрокам предоставляется возможность протестировать новых существ, которые ещё не введены в игру на постоянной основе. Бои происходят без применения артефактов, навыков, умений и бонусов гильдий. У всех героев одной фракции во время турнирного боя будет одинаковый заданный набор существ, в зависимости от фракции и независимо от боевого уровня.
- Смешанный турнир
Это турнир с уникальными групповыми боями со случайным распределением команд, которые в обычных групповых боях собрать довольно сложно. Например, на турнире плечом к плечу могут встать герои пятого и пятнадцатого уровней против трёх героев девятого уровня. Команды распределяются таким образом, чтобы сделать бой как можно интереснее и наиболее равным для каждой из сторон. После каждого боя автоматически корректируются коэффициенты сил, чтобы в последующем не допустить неравные бои.
- Парный турнир (2x2)
Это турнир с групповыми боями 2 на 2, каждый герой может провести отведённое число боёв, как в командном зачете, так и в случайном. Для выбора определённого напарника и участия в командном зачёте перед подачей заявки необходимо выбрать в списке команды одного из ваших друзей (заранее добавленного в разделе «Ваши друзья»), после чего подать заявку в турнир. Заявка будет обработана только в том случае, если ваш друг со своей стороны выберет вас в качестве команды. Для поиска случайного напарника в списке команды установлено значение «Случайный зачёт». Два зачета независимы друг от друга.
Для удобного поиска напарника предусмотрен специальный чат на время турнира, в который можно попасть, нажав на «Поиск напарника в чате» на странице турнира.
— Игроки от 9-го уровня, вступившие в гильдию тактиков, получают по 1.2 очка этой гильдии за каждую победу на турнире (за поражение очки ГТ не даются).
Карточная игра «Две башни»
В перерывах между битвами игроки могут развлечь себя карточной игрой — аналогом игры Аркомаг . Игра моделирует сражение между двумя замками (башнями). Игроки по очереди совершают ходы картами, в результате чего происходят те или иные события (строительство своего замка или сопутствующих построек, атака на сооружения противника и т. п.). В игре используются три вида ресурсов — руда, мана, отряды. Им соответствуют три вида карт (различаются по цвету — красные, синие, зеленые).
Для победы над соперником необходимо выполнить одно из трёх условий:
- уничтожить башню врага (довести её высоту до 0)
- отстроить свою башню до указанного в условиях значения
- накопить до определённого количества ресурсы
В игре существуют целые тематические кланы (сообщества игроков), которые регулярно проводят турниры среди своих участников [10] Также можно делать ставки при подаче заявки если есть 1-й уровень гильдии картёжников и 3-й боевой уровень. С 12-го уровня гильдии доступны бесплатные напитки, повышающие удачу в боях.

- Карточные турниры можно разделить на три типа:
- 1) Кубок Солнечного города — турнир для игроков от 0-го уровня картёжника, 256 игроков, 2000 вступительный взнос, начало — 12:00, 18:00;
- 2) Золотая колода — турнир для игроков от 0-го уровня картёжника, 128 игроков, 2000 вступительный взнос, начало — 00:00, 9:00, 15:00, 21:00;
- 3) Синяя карта — турнир для игроков от 0-го уровня картёжника, 64 игрока, 1000 вступительный взнос, начало — 00 и 30 минут остальных часов;
- 1) Кубок Солнечного города — турнир для игроков от 0-го уровня картёжника, 256 игроков, 2000 вступительный взнос, начало — 12:00, 18:00;
Существует ещё один тип — Кубок Империи — редкий турнир с большим призовым фондом, будет доступен только для победителей определённого типа турниров.
